Our Vision
Pokopia represents a bold new direction for Pokemon games, combining the beloved creatures we all know and love with the relaxing, creative gameplay of life simulation. Developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES in partnership with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, Pokopia invites players to slow down and enjoy a different side of the Pokemon universe.
Instead of battling to become a Pokemon Champion, in Pokopia you'll focus on building relationships, creating beautiful environments, and living peacefully alongside Pokemon. It's a game about creativity, friendship, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of daily life with Pokemon companions.
The Development Story
When KOEI TECMO GAMES, known for their expertise in simulation and strategy games, approached The Pokemon Company with the concept of a life simulation game, it sparked immediate interest. The idea of playing as Ditto - a Pokemon that could take human form and learn from other Pokemon - provided the perfect protagonist for this new adventure.

Development began with a simple question: What would it be like to live peacefully in the Pokemon world? From this seed grew Pokopia, a game that emphasizes cooperation over competition, creativity over conflict, and community over conquest.

The art style blends the classic Pokemon aesthetic with a softer, more painterly approach that emphasizes the cozy, relaxing nature of the gameplay. Every Pokemon has been lovingly animated with new idle animations, work animations, and social interactions that bring out their personality.
